Greetings! I’m Velma Cato, the Owner and Director of Kingdom Castle Academy. I’m originally from El Dorado, Arkansas. I’m married to Tokorra Cato, and we’re happily childless. We have two adorable dogs, Carmen and Creed, and we’re blessed with many wonderful Godchildren.
I’ve been working and caring for children since I was 15 years old. I’ve dedicated over 14 years of my life to childcare, and it’s always been my dream to become the owner of my own childcare center. I’m thrilled to be able to serve my community, where I was born and raised.
I currently hold a director’s credential in childcare, and my passion for children runs deep. I can’t wait to see the children I’ll be working with every day. I’m eager to discuss your child’s needs and provide them with the best care possible.

Our Staff
We require ongoing training for our staff through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR.
We are dedicated and committed to our children by providing exceptional education and quality child care. It is our philosophy to focus on the needs of the individual child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. It is our belief that a childcare facility should be an extension of each child’s family. Our teachers and parents are encouraged to work together to provide the love and support needed as your child reaches developmental milestones and his/her own personal achievements! We are passionate about education and providing our children with the tools to be successful in life. We are a faith based learning center. We do not teach religion, but do believe that we were created by God and that He has great plans for us. We aim to instill basic truths such as children are created for a purpose, their life has meaning, and they should treat others the way they would like to be treated.
We are very excited to offer the families the best in security features. We understand how important the safety and security of your children are each day and know that the features that we have in place will give you peace as you leave them in our care. We strive to provide a clean, safe and educational environment for young children and their families. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. We believe in being supportive of our parents and we welcome their positive involvement and presence at all times. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.
Quick Highlights of Security
We practice and implement stringent fire safety measures. Besides having monthly fire drills, our school is inspected regularly by state and local fire departments to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Our center is also directly linked to the fire department, so if one of our smoke detectors goes off or if an alarm is pulled, the fire department is immediately alerted. Fire extinguishers and fire alarm pull stations are located throughout the center.
